Red Tiger Talent are the UK leaders in advising and recruiting technical & analytics talent in the areas of location planning, GIS, property research, economic research, strategy and consumer insight.

Red Tiger Coaching are a collective of experienced business leaders and coaches. We all share the same desire, to support our clients’ implement transformational change and realise their true potential.

Red Tiger Training provide a range of public and company specific training courses. These established courses are live, interactive and focus on technical (e.g. Excel) and soft skills to improve confidence and productivity.

Red Tiger Consulting advise clients in their use of data, technology, and models to drive business decisions.

Red Tiger History

2015

9th January: Red Tiger Consulting Ltd incorporated by Steve, focusing on Consultancy and Filming

26th January: Red Tiger Consulting received first piece of commissioned work doing promo film for dual factor authentication company

October: Steve is retained by Grant Thornton to support their Insight & Analytics team

2016

January: Red Tiger Consulting launches Salary Survey with the SLA

June: Paul leaves BT – Global Services after 14 years to start Red Tiger Talent

17th August: Red Tiger Talent Ltd incorporated by Steve and Paul

2017

April: Red Tiger Talent’s first candidate placed

June: Red Tiger Talent gain their 4th client in PMA, who remain a client to this day

August: Red Tiger Talent’s 1st financial year end with a total of 4 placements

October: Red Tiger Consulting worked with Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) on their GIS procurement

October: Red Tiger Consulting worked with A&M on the Toys R Us administration

2018

February: Steve completes his contract at Grant Thornton to focus on caring for his mum

August: Red Tiger Talent’s 2nd financial year ends with a total of 16 placements

October: Red Tiger Consulting wins a location planning project supporting A&M on The Body Shop

2019

August: Red tiger Talent’s 3rd financial year ends with a total of 9 placements

November: Red Tiger Training deliver Excel training to c150 Geography undergraduates at the University of Leeds

2020

April: Red Tiger Training launches a range of Excel training courses via zoom

August: Red Tiger Talent’s 4th financial year end with a total of 19 placements

September: Red Tiger Coaching co-founded by Steve, Paul, Andy and Steph

2021

February: Red Tiger Talent places candidate in first overseas role

17th August: Red Tiger Talent celebrates its 5th birthday

August: Red Tiger Talent’s 5th financial year ends with a total of 23 placements

November: Chloe joins the Red Tiger team

2022

May: Steve and Andy become ICF Internationally Accredited Life/Business Coaches

July: Red Tiger Talent celebrates a milestone of placing 100 candidates in the last 6 years

Steve Halsall

Coaching and Consulting Lead

Steve is an experienced and well respected head hunter, location planner, trainer and coach.



He has worked in analytics for over 25 years – with various senior roles in consulting and client side. He is also an experienced entrepreneur – having successfully started 5 businesses to date, two of which went on to be acquired.

His real passion is to help build successful teams that evolve their capability (skills, software and data) in order to meet the ever–changing requirements of analysis and insight.

Steve is also an ICF accredited Life and Business Coach, and thrives on helping his clients in a range of work and personal situations.

In his spare time he is mainly kept busy with his two young children, following his beloved Liverpool FC and going on very long walks with his trusty working cocker spaniel. He climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Sept 2022 (busy planning his next expedition) and plans to publish his first book in 2025.

His experience lies in Location Planning and Mapping but more recently within Business Management, working internationally on a variety of accounts.

Paul has worked for a range of companies from small start-ups to large blue-chip companies (both consulting and client-side) and wants to use his experience and technical knowledge to help clients find the right talent and also to help individuals progress their careers.

Paul has 1 wife, 2 dogs and 2 children at home and when they are boxed-off he likes to listen to music, train for triathlons, socialise and watch football (when allowed).

Steph lives in Manchester and when she isn't working she enjoys the countryside, walking, nature, and classic cars. She is also an avid follower of Formula 1 so is unavailable to work on race days!

He has a strong background in retail, leisure and commercial property development specialising in providing business services in consumer behavioural analysis and analytical data systems to clients in these sectors.

He holds a great passion for developing people and helping them realise their full potential in both their personal and work lives. As an ICF accredited Coach he focuses on an individual’s self-esteem, coupled with good physical and mental health, in order to prepare for career success.

A lover of the outdoors, Andy is often planning or taking part in some sort of outdoor activity or expedition – maybe kayaking or sailing, mountaineering or skiing or just sleeping out local to home under the stars, known as bivvying!

Andy is married, with 3 grown up children and enjoys an active life with his family at home or on holiday.

Having graduated from the University of Leeds in 2021 with a BA Geography degree, Chloe joined Red Tiger in November 2021 and is our research and marketing manager.

Chloe lives in West Yorkshire with her family, and her hobbies include reading, arts & crafts, her regular morning gym sessions, and long walks in the countryside. As a big sports fan, she enjoys supporting her team Huddersfield Town as a season ticket holder, and going to any cricket games she can get to in summer. She has also become a big F1 fan in the past year, so when she isn't out with her friends or family, you might find her on a Sunday watching the race!

Ruth Holroyd

Marketing Associate

Ruth is Red Tiger's Marketing Associate. She is also a freelance marketing specialist, copywriter, blogger and author.



Ruth has specialised in marketing for over 25 years, now working freelance helping companies with copywriting, marketing administration and social media. Her clients include Red Tiger (Talent, Coaching and Training), The Society for Location Analysis, Talk Health, The Travellers Rest and The Oaks Brewing Company, to name just a few.

She also runs award winning blog www.whatallergy.com which aims to help those with life limiting chronic conditions such as eczema, topical steroid withdrawal, asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis. She won the Free From Hero Award 2021 at the FreeFrom Food Awards and her blog has won countless awards for Best Allergy Blog, Best Health blog etc.

She has written two books: Anaphylaxis: The Essential Guide: An Action Plan for Living with Life-Threatening Allergies, which focuses on anxiety and fear and how to live with the daily challenge of living with a life limiting condition. Secondly a poetry collection for people with eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and topical steroid withdrawal, called The Shape of Skin. Both are available on Amazon and have received fantastic reviews.

Ruth loves trail running, yoga and walking and also enjoys reading, baking freefrom (often burnt) cakes and pottering in her garden and would like to try wild swimming if she can get over her fear of what you can’t see below you in the water!

Simon has what can only be described as a multi-faceted career. He is a qualified dive instructor and has worked in a number of places including Mexico, South Africa and Tanzania.

He is also a qualified coach, having worked for 10 years in Germany supporting many businesses and individuals. He owns and operates a Trek and Safari business called Kilimanjaro Climbing Company (www.kilimanjaroclimbingcompany.com). He is a creative person; when he’s not building website he likes to practice on his guitar.

He now lives with his wife in Southport and enjoys keeping the local village hostelries in business and looking after his dog and two teenage children.
